Dr. Varsay Ebreem Sirleaf With great sorrow the Sirleaf and Cooper families announce the homegoing of our beloved husband, father, brother and uncle, Dr. Varsay Ebreem Sirleaf. He was 73. This unfortunate event occurred on May 16, 2007 in Monrovia, Liberia. He was the youngest son of Fombah and Caroline Sirleaf and the brother of “Doc” James Sirleaf, all of whom predeceased him. Dr. Sirleaf is survived by his wife, Dearma Deshield Sirleaf, and seven children - Pascale, Caroline, Masmina, Varsay Jr., Victoria, Maliki and Jusufu. Also mourning his loss are his sister-in-law, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf; nieces and nephews including Malissa Pauling, James E. Sirleaf, Charles Sirleaf, Robert Sirleaf, James A. Sirleaf, Fombah Sirleaf, Amanda Sirleaf and Tychicus Sirleaf; great-nephews and nieces, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Wake service will be held on Thursday, May 31st at 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1st at 9:00 AM.
